Dan describes history as having a hidden structure. While world events often feel chaotic, long-term astrological cycles reveal deeper rhythms. Among these, he is most drawn to the largest planetary cycles that span centuries or even millennia and that have shaped societies again and again.
One of the most important is the Pluto–Neptune synodic cycle, a 500-year pattern linking Pluto’s themes of power with Neptune’s themes of belief and spirituality. Historically, these alignments have coincided with seismic cultural shifts and moments when the way humanity organizes power and meaning transforms.
The Last Two Great Shifts
Looking back:
1450–1550: Pluto and Neptune were in a long sextile (a 60° harmonious aspect). This era saw the invention of the printing press and the Protestant Reformation, a spiritual revolution made possible by new technology.
1690–1790: Another prolonged harmonious aspect between them coincided with the Enlightenment and revolutions in America and France, overturning entrenched systems of rule.
These patterns show a consistent theme. When Pluto and Neptune move into certain alignments, the structures of belief and power are renegotiated, sometimes radically.
1940s to 2030s: Our Current Cycle
Our present Pluto–Neptune cycle began in the 1940s, seeded by the invention of the transistor, the foundation of our modern information age. Just as the printing press democratized access to scripture and ideas, the transistor revolutionized the flow of information, making possible computers, the internet, and AI.
From 2026 to 2032, Pluto and Neptune will make their final exact sextiles of this cycle. If history repeats, this could be the moment when the technological seeds planted in the 1940s fully bloom, potentially triggering a spiritual revolution for the digital age.
The Minor Grand Trine of 2026
Adding more intrigue, 2026 will feature a minor grand trine between Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, three outer planets representing innovation, spirituality, and transformation. French astrologer André Barbault called this configuration one of the most beneficial planetary patterns of the entire century.
It coincides with almost all major planetary cycles being in their waxing (growth) phases, suggesting emergence rather than collapse.
Cold War 2.0?
Cycles can be harmonious and still contain friction. Dan notes that the geopolitical atmosphere may resemble a second Cold War, this time between the US and China. Just as the original Cold War shaped decades of policy, this tension could frame the coming transformation and eventually give way to a more stable, multipolar world by the mid-2030s.
The UFO Phenomenon and Rising Consciousness
An unexpected theme Dan weaves in is the correlation between planetary alignments and the UFO phenomenon:
1890s (Pluto–Neptune conjunction): Widespread sightings of “mystery airships” before modern aviation.
1940s (current cycle’s start): Roswell, “flying saucers,” and the dawn of UFO culture.
2017: Renewed official interest, whistleblowers, and interstellar object ‘Oumuamua, timed to a planetary trigger of the original Uranus–Neptune conjunction.
For Dan, these patterns suggest the possibility of heightened public awareness or even contact during 2026–2032.
Bigger Than Centuries: The 26,000-Year Cycle
Beyond centuries-long planetary alignments, Dan examines the precessional cycle. This is the slow wobble of Earth’s axis over about 26,000 years and is sometimes called the Great Year.
Two interpretations stand out:
Sri Yukteswar’s Yuga Theory: We have been ascending from the materialistic Kali Yuga into the more conscious Dwapara Yuga since 1700.
Bipu Dev Misra’s Revision: The Kali Yuga ended only in March 2025, making the coming years a true turning point.
Overlaying this is the Age of Aquarius, a shift from the collective conformity of Pisces to an era where individual empowerment strengthens the collective.
Conclusion:Why 2026–2032 Could Change Everything
In summary, the next great Pluto–Neptune sextile, combined with the rare outer-planet grand trine, points to:
Technological and spiritual breakthroughs
Possible redefinition of global power structures
